Digital wedding invitations: every guest's RSVP, no spreadsheet to fill in
A paper invitation is a lovely keepsake, but it doesn't tell you who's coming, who wants the vegetarian option or who needs a room. A digital invitation does, on its own or alongside paper.
What does a digital wedding invitation give you?
RSVPs. Each guest says whether they're coming, with how many, and answers your questions (meal, accommodation, shuttle), and it all shows in your dashboard in real time.
It also prevents botched last-minute changes: if the drinks reception moves, you edit the card and everyone sees the new version through the same link.
Which plan suits a wedding?
Big event, at €29.90 once: up to 500 guests, ten questions, RSVP export, your logo or monogram on the card and a 3,000-photo album. For a small wedding of up to 150 guests, Invitotte+ at €9.90 is enough, with five questions.
| Invitotte+ | Big event | |
|---|---|---|
| Price | €9.90 once | €29.90 once |
| Guests | up to 150 | up to 500 |
| Questions | 5 | 10 |
| Logo or monogram | no | yes |
| Shared photo album | 1,000 photos | 3,000 photos |
What should you ask wedding guests?
Questions that help with catering and logistics. Multiple-choice questions ("Meat, Fish, Veggie") give answers that are easy to count.
- Meal: meat, fish or vegetarian
- Allergies or dietary needs (optional question)
- Attending: ceremony, reception, evening, next-day brunch
- Accommodation: need a room?
- Shuttle: taking it?
- A song request for the dance floor
Should you still send paper invitations?
It depends on taste and guests. Many couples send paper to grandparents and the link to everyone else, or print a QR code on the card that leads to the digital invitation.
Invitotte doesn't print, but the link never changes: you can make a QR code with Scanotte and print it safely. Grandparents who'd rather phone? You enter their reply yourself.
How do you keep track of the wedding guest list?
Add your guests to Invitotte and limit the link to your list: each one gets a personal link, and you see who has replied. The Excel/CSV export then gives you the table for the caterer and the seating plan.
To build the list itself (family, friends, colleagues, A and B lists), see our wedding guest list template. For save-the-dates then invitations, see when to send invitations.
What about wedding photos from guests?
The shared photo album collects guests' photos, in original quality, during the party and for three days after. Then it's erased for good: download everything before.
It's explained in the shared photo album. It won't replace your photographer, but it catches the dance-floor shots nobody would otherwise send you.
How do you invite some guests to the evening reception only?
The simplest way is two invitations: one for the evening reception, one for the whole day. Each guest only sees the one meant for them, with the right schedule.
If the difference is small, one invitation with a multiple-choice question ("ceremony, evening, both") works, but everyone then sees the full schedule. In the UK, evening guests are common, so two invitations are usually the cleaner option.
Frequently asked questions
Is a digital invitation elegant enough for a wedding?
It depends on the look: choose a simple theme, a script or serif font and a beautiful photo. For guests attached to paper, a card with a QR code bridges the gap.
Can guests reply for their whole family?
Yes, with plus-ones: you set the maximum per guest, from 0 to 10.
Can I make a French version for family abroad?
Each invitation has one language. For a bilingual wedding, create two invitations, one in English and one in French.
Can I get a refund?
Yes, you can request one from your account within 14 days.
